So there are a few ideas floating amongst the four of us as to how we see this comic progressing. Since I'm The Art Director of this thing, my ideas begin a bit more visually. My influence is mainly the Venture Bros, which has awesome Johnny Quest-like animation and clever comic delivery. Porch Time I think has more potential for animation rather than a still comic, but can work successfully as either.
I will be illustrating and eventually animating this series. I'm not extremely experienced with character animation, but hope to learn as I go (as I do with most things) but I'd like to post my experiences here for you all so you can take interest in the process as we go.
So far I've got Jon's initial character design drawn here. Isn't he cute? (Jon is my boyfriend, for those of you reading this post who isn't Nathan, Stamos, Jon, myself or someone either of us know). I think this illustration style will work well for all characters. It isn't too realistic, but as you see, a simplified enough version of Jon's character for us to identify his mannerisms and the very Jon-esque qualities we know and love about him. Of course I enjoyed cartoonalizing him. He's sort of cartoony to begin with in person, which makes it easy. He's very tall and skinny, let's be honest, and I like the shape of his pointy knees, ha. He only recently started wearing Chucks, but since he never really takes them off, they've become a definite feature to his charicature now.
I've already come up with a few animation ideas, but I'd like to complete all the character designs first, as well as a title graphic for the series, so this web page can look much more cooler, like the kind of cool where you'll see this page and be like oh! this is going to be great, and then you send it to all your friends.

fyi, caricature doesn't have an H in it, and "much more cooler" is redundant grammar. i like this site idea. i will frequent this page to see animation updates! will you animate me sometime? make a twindom sketch somehow.
I didn't know Jon was wearing Chucks now. I can't picture it.
Incidentally, they'd better not be brown. No love for style biters, na mean?
They're not brown, they're black with a gray panel on the back of the heel and on the tongue.
